Tawaf-ul-Ifadah is sufficient instead of Tawaf-ul-Wada`

1249

Q 6: A pilgrim performed all the pillars and obligations of Hajj except for Tawaf-ul-Ifadah (final obligatory circumambulation of the Ka`bah in Hajj) and Tawaf-ul-Wada`(circumambulation around the Ka`bah on leaving Makkah). He only performed Tawaf-ul-Ifadah on the last day of Hajj; that is in the twelfth day of Dhul-Hajjah, saying that it is sufficient for him even though he is not from the people of Makkah. He is from another city in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. (Part No. 11; Page No. 255) What is the ruling on him?

A: If the reality is as mentioned and he traveled from Makkah after performing Tawaf Al-Ifadah, it will be sufficient for him instead of both Tawaf Al-Ifadah and Tawaf Al-Wada` if he had thrown Al-Jamarat (stone pillars at which pebbles are thrown during Hajj).May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
